The foundation stone of Shree Siddhakshetra Jain Balashram - Palitana was laid about 108 years ago on an auspicious day of Chaitra Sud -10 in the year 1962 . This Balashram was started with just 4 students in the house of shri Chunilal Narandas Kanani after realizing the need of education in small villages and the poor monetry conditions . This led the foundation of the organization in the laps of Setrunjaya Mountains.

This organization was started in the house of Shree Jain Shreaskar Mandal and later shifted in the house of Shree Digambar jain Dharamshala , thereafter in the house of Shree Hemabhai Premabhai and later in the rented house of Bhidbhanjan Mahadev till 1990. The progress of the student which is ultimately the progress of organization continued in this house for 28 years. The first constitution of the organization was framed in 1963 followed by new constitution in 1986 and it was registered under Society Registration Act 21 of Mumbai 1860 in the Same Year.
